For Extra-Early Sips of Coffee: A spot of life pastime at 5 o’clock in the Morning…
Strolling around Karaoğlanoğlu district I have discovered a place of exeptional value. It is located on the side of Girne-Lapta Road. Quiet place and maybe the only one in entire area working from the early morning.
If you are able to wake up early (before 6 a.m) and pass through the main street of Karaoğlanoğlu district you will find a spot of life pastime and warm conversations between the groups of “close – friends” on the side of the road.
Some of them read the morning newspapers, others just enjoy their time. But what I found the most special about that place was the hypnotizing aroma of Turkish coffee that will inevitably capture you.
Unsol Bey, who is close to his 70s, is full of vigor, although his steps are slow. He welcomes his customers with a warm smile. His regular guests tell that he was a military man.
The workers here are like the bees, going back and forth to meet his customers-friends since early morning. Unsol Bey has been doing this for almost 10 years.
I asked Unsul about his daily routine, and he mentioned that starts working at five o’clock in the morning capturing the very first sunny rays in the cafe environment.
The ambiance here is simple, yet worth experiencing. Just with or before sunrise. This moment wıll have “another taste”….
