During the night of November 13-14 the Moon will approach the Earth at a record close distance. The Moon has never been as close to the Earth during the recent 70 years as it will be this night. What`s more, it will be the brightest in this year – so keep your eye on lunar sky!
Specialists suggest that the relief of the Moon will be seen even with the naked eye.
Some assume that there is association between the Supermoon Occurence and oceanic tides which leads to the increased risk of such events as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. However, such assumption is not solid enough to be considered as a scientific conviction.
For now scientists stress out the uniqueness of this Moon-Night phenomenon and advice people to prepare their video and photo cameras in order to capture such rare moments in the life of the Earth and the Universe soon!
